Rabbinic Services
Rabbi David Rousso studied at Shehebar Sefardic Center for Rabbinic Studies, in Jerusalem during which time he completed studies for Shechita under the chief shochet in Jerusalem, R. Sason Gredy. Additionally, Rabbi Rousso studied under Dayan R. Shalom Hazzan at the Bet Din Yerushalayim. He completed his Rabbinic studies in 1992 and was certified by Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, shlita.
The Rabbi's talents have graced a number of Rabbinic and teaching positions. As a gifted Rabbi and educator, Rabbi Rousso has done much to further the cause of Judaism by instilling a strong sense of Jewish Heritage and love of community in children and congregations throughout the world. From being the Rabbi at the Kehillat Tiferet Teman in Miami and being a Rabbi and teacher in Johannesburg, South Africa, Rabbi Rousso came to Woodland Hills in 2000 where he was the Rabbi at the Beit Yisrael Congregation and a teacher at Maimonides Academy in Los Angeles. Rabbi Rousso became the Rabbi of the Woodland Hills Torah Community (formerly Young Israel of Woodland Hills) Synagogue in 2004.
Rabbi Rousso offers Jewish conversion services and is a specialist in Kosher supervision. He resides within the Woodland Hills Community with his wife Miriam and five children.
